The excavation of the second layer began this morning.

The pollen samples were taken near a bog pond. When the site was inhabited, there was a lake in the place of the bog. The pollen was stratified on the bottom of the lake and preserved there after the lake dried. Studying the pollen sample may give information about the ancient vegetation and climate.
